Pradhan was summoned at the police office to record her statement. She was even in police custody for around four days, police sources informed.
DIG Upendra Kanta Aryal refused to divulge details as the police were investigating into the issue. Actress Pradhan in her statement clarified that she was just a member of the networking company. 'The truth will come out very soon,' Aryal said, 'We are recording the statements and investigating evidences.'
Pujana started writing 'Estri' after her surname reportedly after being influenced from Harbo International vice-chairman Pushpa Raj Paudel who writes 'Puresh' after his surname. The duo were living in Jay Sangat Aashram. Paudel who also acted in a Nepali movie 'Shriman' with Pujana is now absconding.
Police have directed Pujana not leave the country for a time being.
However, she is under the police investigation who can summon her any time if needed. Police are collecting evidence so that Pujana’s involved in the fraud charges would be verified. 'Primary investigation shows Pujana had duped people enjoying her actress status,' police source added.
